Metro Delays and Crowds in Mexico City

This Monday, May 5, several users of the Mexico City Metro reported that they are experiencing delays and overcrowding on various lines of the system. Since early morning, passengers have reported slow train movement and congestion on the platforms, especially on lines 3, 8, 9, and 12, where delays of up to 30 minutes have been recorded.

Complaints on social media reflect the annoyance and frustration of users. Some people have commented on the delay in train departures at stations like Ciudad Azteca, where passengers wait more than 5 minutes without the train starting. Additionally, it has been reported that trains stop for up to five minutes at certain stations, causing a buildup of passengers on the platforms.

Despite the Mexico City Metro publishing an official report at 07:00 indicating the travel times per line, several users have expressed their discontent, stating that the delays are greater than reported. Some mention that the train frequency is insufficient and that the situation has not improved throughout the morning.

In light of this situation, many users have shared their complaints and expressed their need for the Metro service to improve to avoid setbacks in their daily commutes.
